Stop trying to trade Peavy. Seriously, don't. Even if he's pitching like shit right now.

I forget what your needs were, exactly. From that lot, without looking at your last entry again, I'd say to get get Weeks, Cano, Peralta, and Schneider. I'll look at the entry again, though, and decide.

You can definitely can Winn. I'd get Weeks with him. Then, I'd can Iguchi and get Peralta, though I'm not sure if I'd start him over Reyes. After that, I'd can Estrada and get Brian Schneider (having a HUGE month). That covers almost all the upgrades I suggested. You won't have a backup catcher yet, but all things considered, that's OK.

Oh, and for the love of God, START CHRIS SHELTON at Util! Move Carlos Lee into the OF, and bench Brian Giles (or Burnitz, if Giles gets hot and Burnitz slumps). Shelton is a god among men right now. If for some reason you need to drop anyone else, Giles is probably the guy you're going to want to ditch (unless you're feeling really ballsy, and want to cut bait on Beltran or Beltre, which I wouldn't recommend just in case).

Make these moves, and you'll be fine, possibly for the rest of the year.

If for some reason you decide to ditch Giles now just for shits and giggles, get Cano with him just to screw the rest of the league out of him. ;)

I wouldn't wholeheartedly recommend doing it, though, as you won't have space to play both him and Weeks with Shelton and Derrek Lee both required to be in your lineup. He is good tradebait for that catcher we were talking about, though. If you can find someone with 2 good catchers (we're talking Inge/Pudge/Varitek/Posada level here), I'd consider trying to get a second catcher for Cano (who's worth more than Giles long-term, I think, but this isn't a keeper league).
